Pole Passion (www.polepassion.com/fitness/ have been working towards accreditation of Pole Dance Fitness as a recognised form of fitness since 2003 in the United Kingdom which saw an explosive growth of over 4200% (2005-2007) in new pole dance schools offering pole dance as a form of fitness.

In 2008 Pole Passion received the highest award available for their pole dance instructor training programmes, making pole dance fitness officially recognised accredited fitness programmes with Skills Active and the Register of Exercise Professionals with their ethical and moral, Miss Pole Dance events, they believe, being instrumental in that success by openly educating and changing public perception.

Pole Passion's level 1 & level 2 Instructor Training Courses are now available to everyone and accredited with Skills Active and the Register of Exercise Professionals (REP’s) for 16 CPD (continual professional development) points each ~ (32 CPD's in total). The courses map to D414, D415, D416, D412, D417 and C35 of the UK National Occupational Standards.
